Promotions at EFSC

Eastern Florida State College regularly holds contests and drawings to give current students a chance to win cool prizes. Explore the list below for eligibility requirements, deadlines, how to enter and more information about each promotion.

Virtual Welcome Back Kahoot! Contest

The Virtual Welcome Back Kahoot! Contest (the "Contest") is open to currently enrolled Eastern Florida State College students who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (or who submit a signed parent/guardian consent and release form). Employees of Eastern Florida State College (the "Sponsor") and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest and their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children) and household members are not eligible to win.

The Contest begins on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 9:00 AM ET and ends on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 7:00 PM ET (the "Contest Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.

To enter, students should visit the Titan Virtual Hub during the Contest Period and click the link to play Kahoot! trivia in Microsoft Teams at one of the designated times: 9-10 AM, 12-1 PM, or 6-7 PM. Students must enter a username comprised of the first 15 characters of their Titan student email address.

Students may compete in multiple rounds of trivia, but are only eligible to win one (1) prize throughout the duration of the Contest. Data pertaining to all entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

On or around Monday, August 31, 2020, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) in accordance with any judging criteria (number of correct answers and speed) from among all eligible entries. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via social media, email or telephone on or around Monday, August 31, 2020. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Any prize having a total announced value of $5,000 or more must be offered in strict compliance with §849.094, Florida Statutes.

The winner(s) of the Contest will receive:

1st Prize: $250 Amazon Gift Card (12 Available)
2nd Prize: $150 Amazon Gift Card (12 Available)
3rd Prize: $50 Amazon Gift Card (12 Available)

Prize retail value may differ at the time of award. The specifics of the prize(s) will be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution(s) will be permitted, except at the Sponsor's discretion. All prizes are non-transferable and subject to income tax. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation, any and all federal, state and/or local income taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. Any winner of a prize valued in excess of $600 at the time of award must provide his or her social security number, EIN or TIN to Eastern Florida State College and shall receive an IRS Form 1099. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use a winner’s name, likeness and entry for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

All prizes will be delivered to the winner(s) via Titan student email within ten (10) days from the time of award notification.

Participation in the Contest further constitutes the entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these official rules including all additional terms and conditions.
